Tour Tunes

Our 5-day road trip up to Portland/Seattle last week gave us just under 30 hours in the car together. Since we have nothing to say to each other anymore we battle the silence with a barrage of eclectic music. While the music part is true, we do still engage in passionate conversations that span from the sublime to the absurd. Inevitably certain members of the band take the topics too far…they will remain nameless for now (until the blog called “wow, you just took that convo one step too far” is written). But people are always asking us who our influences are and/or who we listen to and we want you to know!

We took turns passing the aux cable around the car, and everyone with tunes on their phone got to play dj. It’s a fun game actually if you’re ever on the road with a car full of folks. You get to check out a ton of new things, dig on classics, or just go for absurdity to keep the monotony of the road from killing you with boredom. It’s also a great way to find out who’s open-minded and who's a painfully judgmental and opinionated jerk-face! At one point Jon set out to find the worst music ever which only lasted for two rounds: Cher and Insane Clown Posse. ICP (which made for some good laughs) was the clear winner.
From those 5 days on the road, we present to you a pretty accurate list of artists. It should be noted that this list is for the most part Herrera, Moorea, Tarik, and Matthew. Wes (who miraculously subbed for Dave) didn’t have music on his phone and Lebofsky didn’t ride with us which was too bad because he is a wealth of amazing-unheard-of bands. Dave was also deeply missed in the music sharin extravaganza.
